Stephanie Punt, Ph.D.
Dr. Punt is deeply committed to helping individuals navigate the emotional, cognitive, and physical challenges that arise throughout life. She works compassionately with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, cognitive challenges, self-esteem concerns, grief, chronic pain, and major life transitions. Through extensive training in health psychology, Dr. Punt specializes in supporting individuals and couples across the lifespan as they adapt to acute and chronic medical conditions and the stressors that often accompany them.
Dr. Punt has provided care in a wide range of clinical settings, working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. She completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), with specialized training in polytrauma and traumatic brain injury recovery. She also completed her APA-accredited predoctoral internship at UCLA, where she was trained by leading experts in coping with acute and chronic health conditions, functional neurological disorders, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions, and cognitive functioning concerns.
Her clinical experience spans both inpatient and outpatient settings across multiple academic medical centers and specialty clinics, including cancer, bariatric, epilepsy, and transplant programs. In addition, Dr. Punt completed advanced interdisciplinary training through the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Program. She also has multiple peer-reviewed publications on a breadth of health psychology topics.
Dr. Punt earned her Ph.D. and M.A. in Psychology, with a specialization in Health Psychology, from the University of Kansas. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Washington, earning a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Biochemistry. Dr. Punt is licensed as a clinical psychologist in California (PSY 34494) and Kansas (LP 03309).
